Content comprehension Today's classrooms have a diverse student population, and teachers try very hard to explore ideas that encourage an inclusive and multicultural environment. In truth, multicultural education has many advantages. Firstly, it prepares students of every age and from all cultural backgrounds to continue their education in any school of their choice, at home or abroad. Secondly, by focusing on ethnic, language, and gender issues that can marginalize groups of people, multicultural education can help students acquire the knowledge, attributes, skills, and attitudes needed to function in adult life and in a democratic society while feeling respected and heard.
